Our Take
St. Michael the Archangel Catholic School is Streator’s Catholic school, operated alongside St. Michael the Archangel Parish and listed by the Catholic Diocese of Peoria. It sits on South Park Street, right by the parish church and a short walk from downtown, City Park and the public library, so it is woven into the heart of town. For families who want faith formation built into the school day, it offers an alternative to the public district, and its close tie to a parish dating to 1883 gives it a strong sense of continuity. The school’s main number is 815-672-3847, and the parish and school share a website where you can find enrollment information, calendars and contacts. We did not verify grade levels or tuition in a primary source, so ask the office directly. For Catholic families, and others seeking a small, values-centered school, St. Michael’s is worth a call.
