Engle Lane Theatre is home to the Streator Community Players and the best place in town to see live theatre. The company stages a regular season of six productions, mixing musicals and plays, with evening shows at 7:30 p.m. and matinees at 2 p.m. Season passes are available, and kids 12 and under get a discounted ticket to every production, which makes it a genuinely family-friendly night out. The theatre has clearly thought about accessibility, with wheelchair seating at the front, a Garden Entrance for special access, lift-arm end seats, booster seats and hearing assist devices. Intermission concessions include show-themed mocktails and baked goods made for each production by a local bakery, a fun touch.
