Streator Kiwanis Club
505 W. Grant St., Streator, IL 61364
Our Take
The Kiwanis Club of Streator is part of Kiwanis International, a service organization devoted to improving the lives of children, and its contact address is on West Grant Street. Kiwanis clubs are known for youth-focused projects such as reading programs, school supply drives, scholarships and sponsoring Key Clubs in high schools and Builders Clubs in middle schools, as well as community fundraisers like pancake breakfasts and peanut sales. Meetings usually include a meal, a speaker and plenty of camaraderie. For anyone who cares about local kids and wants a hands-on volunteer outlet, it’s a natural fit. The website address in its listing doesn’t work, so reach out through the Chamber or social media to learn about meeting times and membership. Guests are generally welcome at meetings.
