Our Take
St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, at 509 East Broadway, describes itself as “Gathered in Christ to Serve and Invite,” and its welcome message stresses acceptance, support and exploring what it means to follow Jesus in today’s world. Worship is offered three times each weekend: Saturday evening at 5 p.m. and Sunday mornings at 7:45 and 10:15 a.m., with Holy Communion part of services. The congregation also offers online worship, Sunday school, a discipleship class, a weekly sermon page, a newsletter and community service projects. That Saturday service is a nice option for families with busy Sundays. Newcomers can find a “visit us” page on the website with directions and what to expect. The church’s ministries include fellowship events throughout the year, so check the calendar.
