Our Take
Central Church of Christ is one of Streator’s larger congregations, meeting at 2001 East Main with three Sunday services at 8:00, 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. Its motto, “Celebrate. Connect. Contribute.”, shows up across a polished website that offers online worship, sermon podcasts, a blog and prayer requests. Families get a lot of attention here, with dedicated programs for children and teens, and newcomers can follow a clear next-steps path through classes called First Step and Rooted, small groups and baptism. A current generosity campaign called THRIVE invites members into giving and volunteering. For anyone new to town looking for a church with modern music, plenty of service times and organized ministries, this is an easy place to start, and the livestream means you can preview a service from home first. Check the site for the full events calendar.
