Our Take

For most families this is the default primary care option in town, and it is easy to see why. The practice sits on the fourth floor of the OSF Center for Health, so a referral for bloodwork or an X-ray usually means an elevator ride instead of a second trip. OSF’s provider pages list family medicine physicians including Mark Wargo, MD, and Kallista Kamberos, DO, who also offers osteopathic manipulative treatment, which is a nice extra for people with back and neck complaints. OSF also announced a new provider joining in 2024, a good sign that the clinic is staffing up rather than shrinking. The trade-off of a big system is that scheduling runs through OSF channels and can feel less personal than an old-school solo practice. We have not verified current hours, so call before you go and ask whether new patients are being accepted.
