Our Take
Streator Tire & Repair on West Main is the west-side anchor for tires and service, and one thing sets it apart: Saturday hours, 8 to 2. Few independent Streator shops offer weekend hours. The shop has been in business since 2005 and lists tire sales, oil and lube, custom exhaust and general repair. It also offers towing, which can turn a stranded-on-the-shoulder afternoon into a single phone call. One review describes the owner making two trips after closing on a Saturday to rescue a traveler’s flat. That is a single story, not a guarantee, but it fits the shop’s local, hands-on reputation. If you work weekdays and need tires or an oil change without taking time off, start here. Call ahead for tire availability on less common sizes.
