Our Take
AutoZone store #680 on North Bloomington is the DIY mechanic’s late-night friend, open 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 8 to 8 on Sunday. Beyond batteries, brake pads, filters and fluids, the free services are the reason to come: battery testing, charging and recycling, a Fix Finder readout when the check-engine light comes on, and the Loan-A-Tool program, which lends specialty tools like a ball-joint press so you do not buy one for a single job. Order online with free store pickup and the part will be waiting at the counter. It sits a block from O’Reilly, so if one is out of a part, the other is a two-minute drive away. Free AutoZone Rewards membership earns credit toward future purchases.
