Forge 21 Bar and Grill is one of downtown Streator’s newest arrivals; the Chamber of Commerce welcomed it in late 2025. Its website pitches a broader menu than the typical tavern: ribeye steaks, BBQ ribs, grilled salmon, fish and chips, burgers and sandwiches, plus signature cocktails and local brews. Online ordering and reservations are both available, conveniences that many older local spots don’t offer. The site lists 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., though it doesn’t spell out which days that applies to, so treat those hours as approximate and call to confirm. Another business, Jackpot’s, publishes the same Hickory Street address with its own hours, so the building’s setup is worth checking too. If Forge 21 delivers on its menu, it fills a real gap downtown between quick bar food and a full steak dinner. It’s well worth a try for anyone curious about Streator’s newer openings.
