Streator City Hall
204 S. Bloomington Street, Streator, IL 61364
Our Take
Streator City Hall is the one-stop shop for city business, and its hours are refreshingly resident-friendly. The office opens at 7:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday and stays open until 5 p.m., with a shorter Friday that wraps up at 1 p.m. Better still, there is a drive-up window open 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. all five weekdays, which is ideal for paying a utility bill without leaving the car. Inside, the administration department handles day-to-day city operations, supports the mayor and city council, and runs the City Clerk’s office, where you file Freedom of Information Act requests and get birth and death certificates. The main line, 815-672-2517, connects to department extensions for engineering, public works and utility billing. The building also houses the Streator Police Department at the back. For most residents’ city questions, this is the right place to begin.
