Our Take
Grace Community Church sits just north of town on Route 23 and is celebrating 40 years as a congregation that, in its own words, values God’s presence over program and passionate worship without regard for time. That’s a clear signal of a Spirit-led, contemporary worship style with services that may run long. Sunday worship is at 10 a.m. and Wednesday at 7 p.m., both livestreamed on Facebook and YouTube. On Monday nights at 7 the church hosts Celebrate Recovery, a Christ-centered recovery program for anyone dealing with addiction or other struggles, along with The Landing for teens and Celebration Place for kids. For people looking for recovery support in the Streator area, that Monday program is one of the most notable things here. Visitors can watch online before attending in person.
