Our Take
The 122 Club and its companion venue, The Silver Fox, occupy Streator’s historic former Masonic Temple at 122 North Park Street, and the pitch is “Big nights. Small town.” The calendar is impressively ambitious for a city this size: national touring comedians, such as a Tom Arnold tour stop, live music, comedy bingo, karaoke, murder mystery nights and an Adult Prom. Ticket prices are listed with each show, and tickets are sold online. The building also hosts private events with catering, making it a distinctive choice for receptions, reunions and fundraisers, including the Brain Injury Clubhouse’s annual Art Gala. Performers can apply to play there through the website. Check the events page for upcoming dates and age restrictions, since many shows are 18 and over. It faces City Park.
