Streator National Bank is now a division of American Commercial Bank & Trust, but it still operates under the hometown name, and for many longtime residents that name continuity matters. The main office on East Bridge Street keeps a lobby open weekdays 9 to 4, with the drive-up staying open an hour later, until 5, and a drive-through ATM for off-hours. There are no weekend lobby hours, which is the main drawback compared with First State or the credit unions. The upside of a division of a larger bank is that you keep a local branch staff while having a bigger institution’s lending capacity behind it. A second, drive-up-only location on North Bloomington serves the north side. The main office’s fax and phone are listed on the bank’s branch locator, and the main number (815) 672-2941 covers both locations.
