Mr. John’s Dry Cleaning on East Bridge Street, across from Streator National Bank’s main office, is run by owners Mark and Karen Reinmann, and it’s the town’s go-to for dry cleaning. Its hours are built for commuters: it opens at 7 AM on weekdays, so you can drop off shirts on the way to work, and stays open until 5:30. Saturday morning hours, 8 to noon, cover anyone who can’t make a weekday stop. Beyond routine dry cleaning, listings highlight wedding gown cleaning and preservation and alterations. Those are specialty services you’d otherwise have to drive to Ottawa or Peru for. For a gown, ask about the preservation box and how the dress is inspected for stains before treatment.
