Our Take
G & S Electric was the only Streator electrician we could confirm through a current listing, and even that listing is sparse: a Streator phone number, a construction category and no street address, no hours, no website and no reviews. That profile fits a service-area trade business that works out of a truck and doesn’t need a storefront. It also means you’ll need to do your own checking. Ask for proof of insurance and a written estimate, and ask whether the electrician pulls permits when the job needs one. Panel upgrades and rewiring in Streator’s older housing stock often do. Several other electricians (Bodas Electric, Aschinger, Engle, C & H, Sandy Electric) still show up in older Streator directories, but we couldn’t confirm they’re operating, so they aren’t listed here. For now, G & S is a name and a number to start with, not a vetted recommendation.
