Oakley Avenue Klub

Our Take

The Oakley Avenue Klub, at 806 Oakley Avenue, is a bar and banquet hall with ties to the Knights of Columbus, the Catholic fraternal order whose site it links to, devoted to charity and serving families. Halls like this are the backbone of small-town celebrations, hosting wedding receptions, anniversary parties, funeral luncheons, fish fries and fundraisers at prices that commercial venues rarely match. The bar side gives members and guests a relaxed place to gather, and in Streator’s Catholic neighborhoods on the south side, it’s a natural community hub. Anyone planning an event should call to ask about capacity, catering arrangements, bar packages and available dates, especially for summer Saturdays. Ask whether non-members can rent the hall, and check for public events like Lenten fish fries.
