SOCU – Northpoint Branch
120 E Northpoint Dr, Streator, IL 61364
Our Take
SOCU’s Northpoint branch has the best Saturday hours of any financial institution in Streator, with the lobby open until 3 PM when most banks close at noon or not at all. The drive-thru opens early too, at 7:30 AM on weekdays and running until 6 PM, with Saturday drive-thru from 8 to 3. SOCU is a regional credit union with six branches across LaSalle, Livingston and Grundy counties, two of them in Streator. One thing to know before you call: every phone call goes to a virtual communications center, not the branch itself. Ask for the Northpoint branch or a specific representative if you want local staff. SOCU also offers live video chat, online loan applications and a text line at (815) 673-5577, which can save a trip. Loan officer appointments are first come, first served during business hours.
