Our Take
Veranda Vinyl Records & Artware is a record store first, but it is also a gallery of vintage advertising art, antiques and movie memorabilia, which gives it more personality than a typical crate shop. Public reviews talk about thousands of albums and an owner willing to dig for a specific title, the kind of service that keeps collectors driving in from out of town. Fans of old signs and pop-culture ephemera will find plenty to look at even if they do not own a turntable. It appears to share ownership, and a phone line, with H&H Mercantile, so you can easily hit both on one Main Street visit. Hours mirror its sibling, Thursday to Saturday from 10 to 3. Online ratings are a bit lower than H&H’s, with some reviewers noting limited hours.
