Our Take
The Strike Zone Pro Shop is a bowling pro shop at 2416 North Bloomington, the same address state licensing records give for Bowl Mor Streator, run by The Strike Zone Inc. That makes it the in-house shop for the local lanes, which is exactly where a pro shop belongs. Serious league bowlers come for ball drilling and fitting, resurfacing, bags and shoes; a proper fit can change a bowler’s game more than a new ball ever will. Public reviewers praise the family atmosphere. Hours are evenings only, Wednesday through Saturday, lining up with league nights. The listed phone has a 309 area code, which points to the operator’s Peoria-area base, so confirm it before calling. Casual bowlers who are thinking about buying a first ball should ask for a fitting before buying.
