Our Take
Streator Liquors was opened in January 2020 by Patrick Seaman, a Streator resident and Woodland High grad, to fill the gap left when the old Streator Drugs pharmacy, liquor counter and gift shop closed. Shaw Local reported he wanted to “pick up where Streator Drugs left off,” which gives the shop a bit of downtown continuity. It is a smaller, more personal bottle shop than the late-night store on Bloomington, and public ratings sit near five stars. One NA-beer finder site lists it as stocking non-alcoholic options, a nice touch for designated drivers. Current listings give the address as 115 Oak Street, around the corner from the original 109 East Main storefront named in the news story and license records.
- Locally owned since 2020
- Successor to Streator Drugs' liquor counter
- Non-alcoholic beer
