Our Take
Russell Cellular is a Verizon Authorized Retailer on North Bloomington Street, and it is the place in town to switch to Verizon, upgrade a phone or sort out an account face to face. The company’s own store page lists a content transfer service for moving photos and contacts to a new device, and it reminds customers to bring the account owner’s authorization and passwords, sensible advice that saves a second trip. Because it is an authorized retailer rather than a corporate Verizon store, some account functions may differ, so ask if you have an unusual request. Hours are Monday through Saturday 9 to 7 and Sunday 11 to 5, which covers after-work visits. It is also a Streator Chamber member.
